A dog named Ernie has a very big heart. He was living in the shelter and like so many other dogs out there, he was dreaming of finding a forever home for himself. Little did he know, that would change when he went for a walk with a volunteer named Cindy Grisanti. The pair left the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter in New York for a walk around the block together to get some fresh air. When they were out and about, the pair spotted a UPS truck that was driven by Jason Coronado. Jason was on break from working, and Ernie was so excited to see Jason that he jumped right up into the truck. He really wanted to say hello to the man for some reason.

Jason and Ernie sat on the steps of the truck together and Ernie licked the man’s face and cuddled up to him and really just bonded with him. Ernie really had a hard time leaving once Cindy said it was time to go; the pair obviously had a special bond after spending just a short amount of time together. About a month passed and Jason kept thinking about Ernie and that day they met each other. Then he saw on social media the dog was still up for adoption. In fact, Ernie had been at the shelter for quite some time with no prospects wanting to adopt him into their home. Jason knew it was fate and he and Ernie were meant to be together.

So, after consulting with his family, Jason decided to give Ernie the forever home he needed: in his house. The pair who really bonded that day in Jason’s UPS truck are now inseparable. And to think it all started when Ernie spotted that UPS truck and decided to jump inside!
