On Wednesday, July 3rd, a judge ruled that two of Jenelle Evans’ children (5-year-old Kaiser and 2-year-old Ensley) could go back to her as of July 4th, 2019. After Jenelle’s husband, David Eason, shot and killed the family’s French bulldog, the couple’s kids were temporarily removed from their custody. Eason declared that the incident occurred after the dog allegedly bit their daughter Ensley in the face.
In the meantime, Jenelle’s oldest boy, Jace remains with Jennelle’s mother, Barbara Evans. When finding out about the court’s decision, Barbara stated, “The Columbus County judge did a great injustice to these children, Jace was very upset and didn’t want to go so I didn’t send him back.” Since Jenelle’s start on MTV, her relationship with her mother has been tumultuous at the very least, and it continued to exacerbate as her mother was given custody over 9-year-old son, Jace. Eventually, this mother-daughter relationship got even more complicated as Jenelle called 911 on Barbara for allegedly locking up daughter Ensley in a bedroom. Jenelle shared that she found out about the incident when FaceTiming son Jace and hearing Ensley scream on the background as she was being locked up. According to Evans, “We asked Jace what was going on, and he said my mom locked Ensley in the bedroom so she can take a shower,”. Evans and Eason proceeded to call 911 as they feared for their daughter’s safety.
During the custody trials, Jace and Ensley remained with Barbara while Kaiser stayed with baby daddy Nathan Griffin(Evan’s ex-fiance).However, this July 4th, the family will get to be together, which has made the reality TV star, extremely happy. Evans tweeted this past Wednesday, she was “Crying tears of joy”. A video from Radar Online, shows Jenelle and David happily leaving the Columbus county courthouse in North Carolina as this legal battle comes to an end.
